My name is Kayla Hawkins and I'm a 7th year educator. I hold a B.A. in Elementary Education, a M.A. in Special Education, and have started the journey towards an Ed.D in Educational Leadership. I am originally from the MS Gulf Coast, and have taught in MS, NY, and CO. The roles that I have previously served in include K-12 Mild/Mod Interventionist, 4th and 5th Grade Classroom Teacher, and K-5 Data Driven Instructional Coach. My parents are both rockstar public school teachers as well, and while it's true that it's "in my blood", I have poured so much into my educational journey on my own accord. This is my 4th year in CO and we are here to stay, as we purchased a home in Broomfield last summer! When I'm not at school, I'm likely to be doing a floor puzzle or out somewhere with my pets. I am excited to work for Grand View!
