I am so excited to be teaching Third Grade again—this will be my 6th year teaching this grade at Grand View, and my 11th year in Third Grade overall! I earned my Elementary Education degree with an emphasis in Speech Communications from the University of Northern Colorado, and spent my first five years teaching in Jefferson County.

After that, I took some time off to raise my four amazing children (two boys and two girls who absolutely have my heart!). Once my youngest started school full-time, the classroom called me back. I substitute taught in St. Vrain for five years before realizing how much I missed having a classroom of my own, which brought me here full-time!

My husband of 27 years and I are currently in a very busy, exciting season with our kids. My oldest son is a senior playing baseball for Hastings College in Nebraska, and my second son is a sophomore wrestling for Simpson College in Iowa. My oldest daughter is attending UNC this fall, and my youngest daughter is a high school junior. Between baseball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, and golf, my kids certainly know how to keep this Mama running around!

Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, my family moved to Montrose on Colorado's Western Slope when I was younger, and I quickly fell in love with the mountains. When I’m not cheering on my kids from the sidelines, you can almost always find me camping or exploring the outdoors. I truly love teaching Third Grade and am looking forward to another wonderful year together!
