Carta del director
Estimadas familias de Grand View:
As we approach the end of another school year, I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your precious children throughout the year.
It has been an absolute pleasure watching your students grow, learn, and flourish in our classrooms. Their curiosity, enthusiasm, and determination have truly been inspiring. None of their achievements would have been possible without your unwavering support and encouragement at home.
As we come to the end of this academic year, I hope that you and your families have a fantastic summer filled with fun, laughter, and cherished memories. May this break be a time of relaxation for you and your family.
For those students who will be returning next year, we look forward to continuing this wonderful journey together. And for those who will be moving on to new adventures, know that you will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we wish you nothing but success and happiness.
Once again, thank you for sharing your amazing children with us. It has been an honor and a privilege to be a part of their educational journey. Wishing you all a fantastic remainder of the year and a joyous summer ahead.
Gracias,
Francesca

Please congratulate our fantastic Teacher of the Year Finalists: Breanna Gutierrez, Chelsea Segoviano and Amy Zoch! Three of the many amazing teachers at Grand View!

Grand View’s Student Council would like to thank our school and community for their partnership this year! It has been a busy, fun, and rewarding year. For our legacy project this year we choose two ideas. The first, is continuing the welcome baskets for new students that start in the middle of the year. We wanted our new community members to feel welcomed from the moment they walk in our doors. Second, we designed and created a sensory tree to support our school’s focus on Zones of Regulations. When our students need a break or tool to calm down they can use this sensory tree.
Thank you again for a great year!

K-4 Field Day – May 16, 2024
The school year is winding down and the weather is getting much nicer outside. Grand View’s Field Day, hosted by the Bison Brigade, will be held on Thursday May 16th (with a rain out date on Monday May 20th) on the Grand View field. For Fourth, Third, Second and AM preschool students, field day will be in the morning with events starting at 9:30. For First Grade, Kindergarten and PM Preschool students, field day will start at 1:15. Students will have their normal lunch period in the cafeteria, at their normal time.
Students will rotate through many different stations that will be run by the fifth grade students. Activities include the 50/25 yard dash, the giant parachute, tug of war (for the older grades), and the obstacle course.
Parents are welcome to come and watch their student(s) participate in field day activities. Please be reminded that this is a celebration for the entire school and is meant to be an opportunity to have fun. Parents please cheer on your own child(ren), and be supportive of others.
Children must wear appropriate clothes for the activities. As we all know, Colorado weather can be 80 degrees one day, and 30 the next, so PLEASE DRESS FOR THE WEATHER. Also, students should wear good athletic shoes. Crocs and sandals may be a good way to beat the heat, but they do not provide support for athletics. Finally, please make sure that your child puts on waterproof SUNSCREEN before school.
Si tienes alguna pregunta o duda, no dudes en ponerte en contacto conmigo engorenstein_marc@svvsd.org.
Gracias de nuevo,
Marc Gorenstein

STUDENTS PERSONAL PROPERTY
Problems often arise when items are brought to school that are hazardous or interfere with school procedures and instruction. Personal objects of value are to be brought to school only during special occasions when the teacher has given permission. Playground equipment is provided by the school. Toys and items such as stuffed animals, Pokemon cards, skateboards, scooters, roller blades, radios, and other electronic devices are not permitted at school. Cell phones and smartwatches are to be turned off and kept in backpacks during school hours. The school will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal property.
Carril «Hug-N-Go»

The end of the school year is near! Bison Bunch will be having a ton of fun digging for gemstones, writing letters to someone special, making fun and ooey gooey slime, popsicle fish, melted crayon art beaded summer jewelry, memory treasure chests and fun water balloons games! Join us for the end of the year fun!
