Grand View Elementary has an exciting summer coming up! Check out our list of upcoming events. We'll continue to update it as more dates and time are added. We look forward to welcoming you, our community, into your building and preparing for the new school year with lots of fun community events.
Grand View Elementary's final Community Night will take place on Tuesday, May 8 from 5:00 - 7:00pm at the Wyndham Hill Clubhouse. We would love to see current and future community members attend. The format will give Grand View staff the opportunity to get to know our future learners better and will also allow families to learn more about Grand View.
The Grand View Elementary Leadership Team has been working diligently to develop a foundation through our Mission, Vision and Core Value statements that reflect our belief that GVE will empower students to pursue their dreams by fueling a passion for learning and achieving their full potential. We will provide engaging, individualized instruction in a positive, learner-centered community that prepares our students for the challenges of growing up in a global society.
Thank you for your continued partnership and unwavering support which has contributed significantly to student achievement and success. I am deeply appreciative of our community, as you have consistently demonstrated your value for public education through the generous passage of several mill levy overrides and bond initiatives, among many other ways that you have strengthened our schools. Together with our excellent teachers and staff, our students are receiving the benefit of an outstanding education.
As we move closer to the end of another outstanding year in St. Vrain Valley Schools, I want to take a moment to recognize the achievements and growth we have seen across our system. In the coming weeks, we will be championing the thousands of students who will be transitioning to kindergarten, middle school, high school or graduating with their St. Vrain Valley Schools diploma. It is through our outstanding educators, dedicated parents and unwavering community support that we have seen our students and schools excel to the highest levels of achievement.
Join the Grand View Elementary Staff for our April Community Night
Thursday, April 12
We welcome community involvement and participation at our upcoming Community Night. We will be discussing academic programming, mission and vision, construction and staffing updates, and conducting a discussion regarding drop off and pick up procedures. We will also have Community Schools representatives available to answer questions and assist with registration for before and after school care.
Each spring, the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley hosts the Tribute to Teachers, which honors and recognizes the excellence of our teachers. Students, parents, colleagues and community members are invited to nominate teachers, and three from each school are selected to attend the event as finalists. During the event, one teacher from each school receives an Encore Award and a $100 gift card. Additionally, several teachers are honored as Spotlight educators and one as Teacher of the Year for their outstanding efforts on behalf of their schools and students.
Community Schools child care is a licensed, structured, and safe environment for before and after school care. This program encourages positive and creative programming that encourages students to grow and create, while developing friendships.
It's official...we have a name, mascot and colors. After months of public input, community voting, and consideration by the St. Vrain Valley Schools Board of Education, Elementary 27 is officially the Grand View Elementary Bison. Our colors are maroon and silver.
We thank the Grand View and Frederick community for their participation and support during this endeavor.
